Work produced for the Edinburgh Fringe festival. I have always enjoyed papercraft and these are extremely sophisticated examples of it. Rather than using the objects themselves, there is a possibility of integrating hand made pieces as well. I like how pieces of technology have been produced in paper format, making them functionless.
I can't find a picture of what I'm talking about at the moment, but this reminds me a little of the plastic objects made by Mark Leckey - he mentions them in the lecture that won him the '08 Turner Prize. Being made out of plastic takes all function away from them, leaving a purely aesthetic form.
